Micro-nuclear power generators! That's right...
Hey everyone, I'm back after a long (and much needed) break and ready to start blogging again. I was at the Albuquerque Economic Development (AED) luncheon yesterday afternoon (you should attend them if you haven't already - they're great!), but I learned about a new company that's very interesting. They're called Hyperion Power Generation, and they make micro-sized nuclear power plants that can generate clean, off-grid electricity for over 20,000 homes. The CEO, Grizz, gave a fantastic presentation and is planning to make this technology commercially viable in 2013. It has the potential to electrify and bring clean water to rural areas all over the world in a sustainable way. This is a company to watch...
